Reigning Australian Open champion Ash Barth has ruled out a return to tennis. The untimely departure of the 26-year-old tennis player shocked the tennis world, since then tennis fans have been waiting for Ashe to return to tennis, which the Australian categorically rules out.
Ashe’s autobiographical book will be launched in Melbourne Park in January, called – My Dream Time, that’s why there was a doubt, maybe even a desire, that Ashe would return to the Australian Open, but the answer is categorical, – “No, I’m done!”
“Never said never, but no. No, no, I’m done.”
We won’t see Ash in the commentary booth either, like Leighton Hewitt or Jelena Dokic, – “No, never” , – Bart was categorical again.
Ash Barty has won three Grand Slams, the Australian Open, the French Open and Wimbledon. She was the number one tennis player for 121 weeks. Bart says she doesn’t watch tennis anymore and doesn’t even know who is number one now.
” I miss challenging myself against the best, but I don’t miss the things that come with it.”
“I never felt a void that needed to be filled because I felt absolute satisfaction at the end of my career,” says Bart.
