The Brooklyn Nets fired head coach Steve Nash. The managers decided that the team’s mediocre performance was the coach’s fault. Even before the season started, it was written that the stars were asking for Nash to leave and there were also discussions about the departure of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, however, Brooklyn started the season with them again and Nash was sacked after seven rounds. The fact is that Nash could not find a common ground with the stars. Everyone expected much more from Brooklyn.
““We would like to thank Steve for the work he has done over the past two years. Since becoming the head coach he has had to deal with difficult challenges. We are grateful for his strength and patience. It was a difficult decision for me to make. Taking into account the way season started, we felt it was time for changes. We wish Steve and his family the best of luck,” – said Nets General Manager Sean Marks.
Former Boston Celtics coach Ime Udoka is being considered as Nash’s replacement.
