Highlights of Real Madrid 4:1 Al Ahly
The majority of the action took place on Real’s left side, where the Brazilian combo of Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo repeatedly teamed to trouble Al Ahly’s defense, while being complemented by Eduardo Camavinga’s overlapping runs.
Similarly, Hussein El Shahat was Al Ahly’s main forward outlet, twice challenging Real Ukrainian goalkeeper Andriy Lunin’s hands.
Nonetheless, it was the La Liga side who seized the lead just before halftime thanks to Vinicius Jr.

Real extended their lead shortly after halftime when Federico Valverde tapped in a rebound after Rodrygo’s shot was parried away by El Shenawy.
However, Al Ahly had a lifeline when they were handed a penalty at the hour mark. Camavinga took down El Shahat in the area, and Tunisia international Maaloul converted his spot-kick.
Al Ahly pushed for an equalizer, but Real were awarded a penalty after Vinicius Jr activities.
Luka Modric took a step forward but had his attempt saved. Real quickly recovered their two-goal lead in stoppage time as Rodrygo concluded a beautiful passing play.
In the last minutes of the game, substitute Sergio Arribas added a fourth goal against the tenacious Al Ahly.
