Influential football publications report that Sadio Mane will miss the World Cup. The Senegalese picked up the injury in the first half of the match against Werder. Initial reports seemed promising, however, it was later reported that Mane will not be able to recover in time due to a hamstring injury.
Senegal has its first match against the Netherlands in 12 days. Mane was not lucky in this either. If a miracle happens and he will able to go to the World Cup, he will be considered for the second or final match, however, he is needed the most in the first match. In addition to the Netherlands, the opponents of Senegal will be the host Qatar and Ecuador.
