Iga Swiatek, the current world No. 1, of Poland, experienced an embarrassing moment early in her WTA Italian Open match against seventh seed Elena Rybakina in Rome on Wednesday when her cellphone began to ring during the first game of their quarterfinal match.

Following the first seed’s forced retirement due to an injury in the third set, Rybakina will play 20th seed and 2017 French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko on Friday.
