The suspension of matches is determined by various terms: the strength of the sun, the temperature of the air in the shade, the humidity, and the strength of the wind – all these indicators reached their highest point today in Melbourne.

Before the matches were stopped, the tennis players were allowed to enjoy a special right provided by the protocol and take a cold shower during the break.

Also, during the changeovers, the players constantly used ice towels.

The matches are renewed at 17:00. According to the organizers, the conditions will be checked.
