Now already a former UFC champion of the Middleweight division Israel Adesanya was arrested at JFK airport. TMZ publishes information about it.
Israel Adesanya was returning home from the USA, when knuckle dusters were found during a metal detector inspection. Later, in a conversation with Ariel Helwani, Adesanya’s manager, Tim Simpson, said that the knuckle dusters had unexpectedly appeared in Adesanya’s bag.
“A fan gave a gift to Israel, which he kept in his bag without checking, and only then did we find it when we went through the security control at the airport. We reacted immediately and started solving the problem together with the police. Currently, he is already on the plane and is returning to New Zealand,” said Adesanya’s manager.
Israel Adesanya fought Alex Pereira last week at UFC 281 and lost by TKO in the fifth round. This is the first defeat for “Stylebender” in middleweight, and against Alex Pereira – the third.
