UFC legend Anthony “Rumble” Johnson died at the age of 38 after a long illness. Former UFC fighter Jake Shields broke the news of Johnson’s death, and family members later confirmed it.
Johnson was seriously ill, doctors were unable to make a diagnosis for a long time, and the condition got so bad that fans heard about it from his manager, who asked UFC viewers via ESPN a month ago to pray for Anthony. The 38-year-old fighter died of organ failure, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis. Johnson made his UFC debut in 2007, fought for the championship belt for the first time in 2015 and lost to Daniel Cormier, the rematch took place in two years, the victory still remained for Cormier.
In 2017, Johnson left the UFC and moved to Bellator, where he had only one fight. Condolences were issued by the UFC, Bellator and Daniel Cormier
Rest in peace brother, Anthony was a caring person. Rumble will be missed. Sometimes life doesn’t seem fair. Horrible news
