AFC Bournemouth
Founded in 1899, AFC Bournemouth has risen from English football’s lower leagues to establish itself as a competitive force in the Premier League. Known as “The Cherries,” the club’s ascent began in 2009, achieving three promotions in six seasons and culminating in their Premier League debut in 2015. Currently sitting in the top half of the table, The Cherries are having another great season after beating the club’s record points total in the 2023/24 season.
Everton
One of only three clubs to have been a founder member of both the Football League and Premier League, Everton has spent more seasons in England’s top division than any other club and been crowned league champions on nine occasions.
Founded in 1878 as St Domingo, the Club has also lifted the FA (Football Association) Cup five times and, in 1985, added the European Cup Winners’ Cup to its prestigious haul. West Ham United
West Ham United is an historic English Premier League football club based on the iconic Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Newham, east London. Founded in 1895 by members of the Thames Ironworks and Shipbuilding Company, the Club was initially named Thames Ironworks FC, before being was reformed as West Ham United in 1900.
Nicknamed the ‘Hammers’ and ‘Irons’ in honour of those origins, West Ham United moved into its 62,500-capacity London Stadium home in summer 2016. Premier League Summer Series – History
The Premier League Summer Series is a pre-season friendly tournament held in the United States. First announced in 2023, it is the second Premier League-affiliated competition hosted outside England, after the Premier League Asia Trophy.
The inaugural edition took place from 22 to 30 July 2023, featuring Aston Villa, Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion, Chelsea, Fulham, and Newcastle United. Matches were held at major U.S. venues including:
- Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia)
- Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta)
- Exploria Stadium (Orlando)
- Red Bull Arena (New Jersey)
- FedExField (Maryland)
Chelsea won the first edition, while Aston Villa finished as runners-up. After the 2024 edition was canceled, the Premier League confirmed in March 2025 that the tournament would return this summer with Bournemouth, Everton, Manchester United, and West Ham United.
